Good Samaritan Hospital Radiography Program

ARRT & Graduation

   Graduation from the program does not guarantee certification. The national exam must be completed successfully. This exam is not administered by the program. Application to the American Registery of Radiologic Technologist's (ARRT) will be made by the students during the final term of the program. It is with the approval of ARRT that a graduate may set their test date at an approved testing center.
   Most states accept ARRT certification as a prerequisite for state licensure, without an additional licensure examination. Employment opportunities for radiographers are available nationwide in all types of medical health facilities and private industry. Further educational opportunities promoting career advancement are readly available.
   Students are not required to participate in the commencement ceremony at Vincennes University. The Radiography Program has a separete ceremony at the hospital; course transcript and certificates of completion are awarded. Graduates have the option of attending the commencement ceremony at the University as well. Application must be made through the college by their standard graduation procedure.
