Our Community

Since 1908, we've been proud to be part of a unique and charming community nestled along the Wabash River. Historic Vincennes is the county seat of Knox County, Indiana, and has a population of approximately 18,000. "Indiana's First City" has an atmosphere and charm evidenced in the beautiful homes, churches, historic neighborhoods and public buildings that grace the city's unique landscape.
While Vincennes offers small town living with big-city flair, nearby communities such as Bicknell, Wheatland and Monroe City have their own special appeal. The area offers award-winning public school districts, a safe environment, a commitment to the arts, and is home to Indiana's first college, Vincennes University.
Southwestern Indiana is dotted with parks, reservoirs and lakes. There's always something to do, from camping to fishing, boating and even snow skiing. Shopping, golfing and festivals are also among the varied offerings all ages will enjoy.

We have four distinct seasons and excellent proximity to the Midwest's largest cities including Indianapolis, Evansville, Louisville and St. Louis. If you're visiting, or planning to relocate, we're pleased you've selected the town we call home. Please take a look around!
