Good Samaritan Hospital School of Radiography

Radiography Program Mission Statement

The Mission of the Good Samaritan Hospital Radiography Program in Vincennes, Indiana is dedicated to the preparation of highly qualified Radiographers to meet the need of the health care community.

Program Description

Good Samaritan Hospital founded their school of radiography program in 1956, offering individuals interested in a career in radiography the opportunity to receive training through the 24-month based program. In 2001, the Good Samaritan Radiography Program partnered with Vincennes University to offer the radiology students the option of earning college credit for their radiology course work and obtain and Associate Degree in Science - Radiography. Radiography students must be enrolled through Vincennes University to take advantage of this option.

The Program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), 20 North Wacker Drive, Suite 2850, Chicago, Illinois 60606-3182, (312) 704-5300, email: mail@jrcert.org, website: www.jrcert.org.

By integrating academic, technical and human relation aspects of the student's education, the program prepares the individual to assume responsibilities and duties of an entry-level radiographer. All Radiography didactic courses are taught at Good Samaritan Hospital. Students progress through clinical rotations to gain experience and improve skills by performing various procedures at multiple facilities.
