About Aatmiya

Aatmiya’s home town is Des Plaines. He received his undergraduate degree from University of Illinois at Chicago, IL and also has a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Midwestern University. Aatmiya worked as a research assistant during his master’s program treating human and animal kidney cells with cadmium and observing its impact using cell counts and PCR techniques. He is the author of two peer reviewed publications. During medical school, Aatmiya served as the treasurer of the Radiology Club. Some of his hobbies and interests include playing cricket, piano, chess, traveling, spending time with family and friends, watching sports, crime tv shows, board games, video games and trying new food places. Aatmiya notes that experiences helping others “motivates me to overcome any obstacle”.
