About Karla

Karla hails from Indianapolis, IN. She earned her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at Santa Clara University, a graduate degree in cellular and integrative biology at Indiana University, and a Master of Public Health at Thomas Jefferson College of Population Health. Her passion for public health is readily apparent from her thesis in health information exchange data for community needs assessments for under-assessed populations and in her projects with the HealthShare Exchange in the Greater Philadelphia region. Kara authored five peer reviewed publications and six poster/oral presentations. She enjoys hiking, skiing, and soccer. In addition, she hosts family game nights and her family created a gaming business in the same concept as escape rooms.
