Gary Keith Hackney, who grew up in Vincennes, has spent the majority of his career as teacher, mentor, coach and leader. He spent 34 years in public education as a teacher and administrator. In 2007, Gary turned his attention to healthcare where he has served in education leadership development role, most recently joining Good Samaritan as the Director of the Foundation.
Hackney has been on the sidelines as coach of youth sports, acted on television, and is the public address announcer for a variety of high school sports events. He has served in many capacities as volunteer, Sunday school teacher, civic board member and community leader. Hackney’s passion is to experience all the world has to offer including travel, literature, music, food and sports. He is an avid reader.
Hackney sees that the only way to improve your surroundings is by being involved. He encourages anyone who is seeking a way to improve their world to contact him.
Development Specialist, Good Samaritan Foundation
Nicole Coomer has been with Good Samaritan Foundation for three years as a Development Specialist. She is passionate about philanthropy and its ability to make the world a better place. She is a 2016 graduate of University of Saint Francis’s Masters in Healthcare Administration program, as well as a certified nonprofit professional (CNP) through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance. Coomer is currently working to complete a Master’s in Business Administration and is also planning to become a Certified Fund Raising Executive through CFRE International.In addition to her academic and professional pursuits, Nicole is a trained singer and will often be found performing for various local charitable events. She is passionate about health and wellness, attaining certifications in various fitness formats including Zumba, Insanity, and Pop Pilates. Most recently, Nicole has taken up kettlebell lifting and hopes to participate in her first Kettlebell Sport competition in the near future.
