Good Samaritan Home Care Services Named Top 100 in the 2015 HomeCare Elite

Good Samaritan Home Care Services announced it has been named to the Top 100 of the 2015 HomeCare Elite, a recognition of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the HomeCare Elite identifies the top 25 percent of agencies and highlights the top 100 and top 500 agencies overall. Winners are ranked by an analysis of publicly available performance measures in quality outcomes, best practice (process measure) implementation, patient experience (Home Health CAHPS®), quality improvement and consistency, and financial performance. In order to be considered, an agency must be Medicare-certified and have data for at least one outcome in Home Health Compare. Out of 9,718 agencies considered, 2,431 are elite.

“We are thrilled to receive this award”, stated Kathy Holl, Director of Operations at Good Samaritan Home Care. “Our goal is to exceed our patients’ expectations and give quality care every day. This recognition from HomeCare Elite illustrates our dedication to give our patients the best possible care. It is very rewarding for the organization to recognize the quality of care our staff is giving to our patients. This is the first time our company has ever received this top 100 recognition and we could not be happier.”

Good Samaritan HomeCare Services operates under CHI Health at Home, the national home health provider for Catholic Health Initiatives. CHI is a national nonprofit, faith-based health organization with headquarters in Denver, Colorado. CHI operates in 18 states and comprises 93 hospitals, including four academic medical centers and teaching hospitals: 24 critical-access facilities; community health services organizations; accredited nursing colleges; home-health agencies; and other facilities that span the inpatient and outpatient continuum of care.

“Congratulations to the entire team at Good Samaritan Home Care Services. Your commitment to provide a safe, nurturing, and healing environment for our patients not only enhances their experience, it also produces quality outcomes that positively impact the health of our patients and our communities," said Dan Dietz, president and CEO of CHI Health at Home.

The award is sponsored by OCS HomeCare by National Research Corporation, the leading provider of home health and hospice metrics and analytics, and DecisionHealth, publisher of the most respected independent publication in the home care profession, Home Health Line.
