Originally from Ghana, Andrews graduated from Kwame Nkiumah University of Science and Technology where he trained as an optometrist. Andrews shows dedication to the community and has volunteered countless hours with the Salvation Army, Boys & Girls Club, 100 Black Men and other organizations. He serves as a mentor to 6th and 8th grade young men who participated in the 100 Black Men mentoring program dedicated to nurturing young men toward a desired career. Andrews is an active player in the intermural soccer competitions, making it to quarter finals two consecutive years. He also plays pickup indoor soccer during off-season periods.
