Christy Riddle, PMHNP-BC

About Christy

Good Samaritan is excited to welcome Christy Riddle, PMHNP-BC, to the organization. Christy earned her Bachelor's and Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Indiana. Her love of working in the mental health field stems from a long line of family traditions. She previously worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents who were exposed to physical and/or sexual abuse as well as individual and group therapy to adults with addictions. “I decided to pursue my master’s degree in nursing to better serve those with mental health, as there are such long wait times to receive mental health treatment in our area,” said Christy. “I want to provide a warm, inviting environment as a non-judgmental nurse practitioner who is on your side and will advocate for your mental health needs.”

Christy and her husband have been licensed foster parents since 2009 and have hosted adolescents from foreign exchange programs all over Europe and Asia. The couple currently resides in Gibson County with their two dogs and a cat. In her free time, Christy enjoys reading, sketching, participating in and watching sports, boating and swimming. Her health tip for patients is to remember to breathe. “When you are stressed or overwhelmed, step away for a minute or two, count to ten slowly with a deep breath with each number breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.”
