Henrique Doria de Vasconcellos, MD

About Henrique

Henrique is from Recife, Pernambuco in Brazil. He has an interest in soccer, handball, and tennis. After medical school, residency, and fellowship, he worked in anesthesiology and critical care medicine before pursuing a career in cardiology. Later, he was recruited by the Department of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University as a post-doctoral research fellow investigating cardiovascular diseases using novel-imaging methods. Beyond his medical and academic pursuits, his experiences in research in Baltimore helped him identify an interest in healthcare inequities. He has also been playing in the USTA leagues and loves to watch movies and documentaries.
