About:

Cassandra Lacher, DO, MHA, love for science and people led her to becoming a physician. “I've come to appreciate that the specialty of hematology and oncology really allows me to do all the things that I love,” said Dr. Lacher. “I am able to care for people during vulnerable and difficult times, manage complicated illnesses, evaluate for underlying genetic predispositions, provide people with the support they need to meet their goals, and provide comfort and hope even in the most dark and scary situations.” Becoming a part of the community and the Good Samaritan family was an obvious choice for Dr. Lacher and her family. She is impressed with the relationships between all members of the patient’s care team and the emphasis placed on quality of life in managing patient disease processes. Dr. Lacher and her husband, Marcus, reside in Vincennes with their two sons and dogs. When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Lacher enjoys being involved with her church, singing and playing the bass guitar, playing board games, spending time with her family and watching St. Louis Cardinals games.

Excellent
I very much resented having to go through quote the cancer center. When are unable to see the hematologist. I think that's awkward and just not a good way to do things. I've I did not like that and I would not recommend this facility or doctor for that reason alone.
She brought up the fact that this cancer was an extremely bad one and would likely return. This is true but didn't seem like something a treatment provider who is supposed to be providing our best hope would say to someone still reeling from the initial diagnosis. It seemed to defeat him, but, thank God, he seems to have forgotten. I still thought she was great and I know this is "everyday stuff" to her but might be something for her to think about NOT saying at least at the initial consultation w
I was real pleased with the help that I was given, felt very comfortable, felt like I could, if I had a question, that I could ask her and get a correct a response to which indicated she was very interested in me and my situation. So overall I would rate it very highly that I was very well pleased with all the help that I got. Thank you.
People were good. Hospital food delivered to the room after biopsy was the worst I have ever eaten.
This was my first visit. I am still getting to know the process and procedures of this provider. I am comfortable and confident at this time.
Dr. Lacher and her co-workers are a wonderful group to have on your side. Nothing but concern for their patients truly caring people.
Everyone was nice and treated me with respect!
I answered the first question incorrectly. We were seen in a very timely manner. So the answer to question number 1 should has also been a 4. Thank you.
I have had the best experience here. Nothing to complain about. Thankful to have this hospital in our town.
