Peter Lipsy, MD, has joined the medical staff of Apogee Physicians, a hospitalist
group that sees Good Samaritan patients while they are in the hospital.
He was inspired to become a physician by missionary doctors he had read
about and one in particular that he knew personally. “As a Christian
believer myself, I felt that medicine was a practical way I could share
the love that Christ has shown me,” said Dr. Lipsy. “Within
Internal Medicine, I am attracted to the freedom we have in Hospitalist
medicine to follow the responses of our treatments in real-time and help
patients make rapid progress in the conditions that brought them into
the hospital.” Aftera recommendation from a colleague, Dr. Lipsy
decided to come practice at Good Samaritan. “I have found that administrators,
physicians, nurses, therapists, and the many others that work here truly
strive to provide outstanding patient care every day.” Dr. Lipsy
and his wife, Amanda, have three children: Adrielle, Elijah, and Arulai.
When they are not in Vincennes, he and his family like to spend time in
Kentucky with his wife’s family. He also enjoys spending time outdoors
hiking, swimming, completing projects around the farm, and taking trips
to explore National and State Parks, and historic sites.
