About Usha

Usha grew up in Flint, Michigan. She attended the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, where she received a degree in English. She has participated in multiple research studies, which have resulted in a number of abstracts and presentations. She has served as a volunteer at the Whaley’s Children’s Center and has also contributed to her community as part of a student-led group that works with homeless teens and the runaway population. She enjoys participating in a fiction/modern poetry book club, learning about skincare chemistry, true crime podcasts, current events/pop culture blogging, supporting Michigan Football, and regularly practicing guided meditation. In her free time, she also likes trying new recipes and spending time with her 2-year-old nephew. She is currently learning how to knit and embroider. She is interested in rural primary care.
