Good Samaritan Has Partnered With SIHO Insurance Services And The Knox County Chamber Of Commerce To Create Good Samaritan Direct Health

Good Samaritan’s vision is to be the regional center of excellence in health care to support the communities it serves. As many community residents receive health insurance coverage through their employer, Good Samaritan felt it imperative to develop an innovative solution to assist both the employer population and their employees in obtaining health coverage and navigating the health system. That’s why Good Samaritan has decided to develop a local health insurance program that will service employers of all sizes in Knox County and the surrounding areas beginning on January 1, 2023.

Good Samaritan Health Direct is a partnership between Good Samaritan and SIHO Insurance Services (headquartered in Columbus, IN). This new initiative allows Good Samaritan to continue its commitment to the community by providing excellent health care by promoting wellness, education, and high-quality service. The partnership with SIHO Insurance Services provides the ability for employers to receive enhanced analytical reporting, excellent customer service, as well as an ongoing partnership with a like-minded organization to exceed the expectation of customers.

“This is a very exciting initiative for Good Samaritan.” said Adam Thacker, Chief Operating Officer at Good Samaritan.“We are often approached by local business leaders and organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce about the challenges they face managing the costs of their employee benefit plans. This partnership better positions us to more actively work with employers to help them manage the health and financial well-being of their organizations.”

“We believe that care should be easily accessible, understandable, and delivered locally,” said John Sadtler, President and CEO of SIHO Insurance Services. “This initiative allows the health system to continue their tradition of providing high-quality care to the Knox County area, and SIHO will support those efforts by providing exceptional service to the community employers that elect Good Samaritan Direct Health.”

As a key organization helping local employers within the area, Good Samaritan has also teamed up with Knox County Chamber of Commerce to share this product with the local community. Partnering with an association such as the Chamber allows Good Samaritan Health Direct even greater opportunity to meet with those desiring better access to quality and affordable health coverage for their workforce.

Jamie Neal, President of the Knox County Chamber of Commerce, said, “We are excited to partner with Good Samaritan in providing this opportunity to our Chamber members. Offering affordable and quality health coverage for employees has been an issue for many employers. This partnership will help our members to address this need while recruiting and retaining employees.”
