Walk With a Doc to be Hosted at VU

Walk With a Doc to be Hosted at VU

Walk With a Doc will continue on Saturday mornings with a change in location and time. The weekly event will be hosted at the Vincennes University Student Recreation Center indoor track beginning Saturday, November 5th at 9:30 a.m. The community is invited to join and spend a few minutes learning about a current health topic. Then, attendees will spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healthy walk at their own pace and distance. The Student Recreation Center is located at 1600 Short Street on the VU campus.

Walk With a Doc is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage healthy physical activity in people of all ages, and reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle in order to improve the health and well-being of the country.

According to the American Heart Association, walking as little as 30 minutes a day can provide these benefits:

Email Contact@walkwithadoc.org to

Future walks will be announced via Good Samaritan’s Facebook page and the Walk With a Doc website, www.walkwithadoc.org. Get walking, and get healthy with Good Samaritan’s Walk With a Doc.
