Good Samaritan, in partnership with the YMCA of Vincennes, Vincennes Active Nutrition, and the Vincennes Texas Roadhouse, is inviting community members to kick off the New Year with the 2026 Community Get Fit Challenge, a free, 13-week fitness challenge designed to help participants improve their health, build sustainable habits, and stay motivated.
The challenge runs from January 3 through April 4, 2026, and offers participants the opportunity to track progress, earn points, and compete for prizes based on fat loss, muscle gain, and overall participation. Participants can also take advantage of a 3-month individual YMCA membership for just $45.
The initial weigh-in will take place Saturday, January 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the YMCA of Vincennes, located at 2020 College Ave. For those unable to attend on January 3, alternate initial weigh-ins will be available January 4–10 at Vincennes Active Nutrition, 642 Kimmel Road, Vincennes. Vincennes Active Nutrition hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m.
During the initial weigh-in on January 3, the Good Samaritan Center for Therapy and Sports Performance will be on-site at the YMCA from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to share information about its services, including wellness programs and personal training opportunities. Participants who weigh in at the YMCA on January 3 will get to utilize the YMCA facilities and fitness classes for free that day.
Participants who complete both the initial and final weigh-ins are eligible for prizes, with awards presented to the top three men and top three women. Prizes include YMCA memberships, personal training packages, Good Samaritan Sports Performance gift certificates, gift cards and Texas Roadhouse prizes.
The final weigh-in will take place April 4 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the YMCA of Vincennes. Awards will be announced at the YMCA shortly after weigh-in concludes.
“The Community Get Fit Challenge is designed for everyone, regardless of where they are on their fitness journey,” said Tiffany Conover, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Good Samaritan. “By bringing together community partners, encouragement, and accountability, this challenge helps participants build healthier habits that can last well beyond the 13 weeks. Our goal is to support individuals and families across the region in making 2026 a healthier year.”
