Good Samaritan is proud to announce that it will host a free community meal for anyone in need on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. ET at the Charles C. Hedde, MD Education Center, 502 S. Seventh Street in Vincennes.
This special holiday event is part of Good Samaritan’s ongoing commitment to supporting the community it serves. CEO Rob McLin says giving back is central to the organization’s mission—especially during the holiday season.
“This is a way that we can give back to our community, and doing so this time of year is certainly special,” McLin said. “We want everyone to feel welcome, supported and cared for.”
Good Samaritan’s leadership team will be serving the meal as part of the hospital’s Serve 365 initiative—its volunteer program that encourages leaders to complete at least eight hours of community service each year. The program is designed to foster a culture of service and connection throughout the organization.
Brian Baker, Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation Director and Serve 365 Program Leader, says this event is a meaningful example of the hospital’s commitment to community support.
“Serve 365 was created to ensure that our leaders stay actively engaged in giving back,” Baker said. “Seeing our teams come together to serve a holiday meal like this is truly inspiring. It reflects who we are as an organization and how deeply we care for the people we serve.”
Guests will be treated to a full holiday menu, including:
- Turkey
- Ham
- Dressing
- Mashed potatoes
- Yams
- Buttered corn
- Cranberry sauce
- Dinner rolls
- Marshmallow fluff
- Cake slices
- Tea, water and lemonade
No registration is required, and all are welcome.
