Good Samaritan President & CEO Adam Thacker has joined the Indiana Hospital Association (IHA) Board of Directors, where he will serve as District President for the Southwestern District.
In this role, Thacker will work alongside hospital leaders from across the state to advocate for policies that positively impact health care delivery in Indiana. As part of the IHA Board, he will help advance legislative, regulatory, and public policy priorities that support hospitals, caregivers, and the communities they serve.
“I am honored to serve on the Indiana Hospital Association Board and represent hospitals in southwestern Indiana,” Thacker said. “I look forward to working with IHA and my colleagues across the state to ensure our communities continue to have access to safe, high-quality, and affordable health care, now and into the future.”
The Indiana Hospital Association serves as the professional trade association for more than 160 acute care, critical access, behavioral health, and other specialized hospitals throughout Indiana. IHA advocates on behalf of its members in the Indiana General Assembly, the U.S. Congress, and with state and federal regulatory agencies.
Through advocacy, education, and partnerships focused on public health and patient safety initiatives, IHA’s mission is to provide Indiana hospitals with leadership, representation, and support to improve the health of all Hoosiers.
In addition, IHA facilitates collaboration among hospitals, manages numerous grants, and provides data analytics to help ensure access to high-quality, cost-effective health care services statewide.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Adam as president of the Southwestern District on the IHA board,” said Scott B. Tittle, president of the Indiana Hospital Association. “His deep commitment to community-centered care and his leadership in guiding
Good Samaritan through an evolving health care landscape make him a strong advocate for hospitals across our state.”
Good Samaritan’s involvement with IHA extends beyond Thacker’s board service. Several members of the Good Samaritan Executive Team actively serve on IHA committees, including Chief Financial Officer Matt Schuckman on the Finance Committee, Chief Administrative Officer Wendy Hernandez on the Innovative Solutions Committee, and Chief Talent Officer Tara Ellermann on the Workforce Committee.
