About Ashlynn
Ashlynn Carson, FNP-BC, provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from infants to adults. She treats acute illnesses, manages chronic conditions, and emphasizes preventive care through well-child visits, routine wellness exams, and long-term health planning. Her goal is to support patients not only when they are sick, but also in maintaining lifelong health and wellness.
Ashlynn’s path into healthcare began as a surgical technician and later as a nurse working in the ICU, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care. It was there that she discovered her passion for prevention and building lasting patient relationships. This led her to pursue her master’s degree and become a nurse practitioner, allowing her to focus on proactive, whole-person care.
She takes a holistic, evidence-based approach to medicine, empowering patients to be active participants in their healthcare decisions. Ashlynn values strong partnerships with her patients and strives to ensure they feel informed, supported, and confident in managing their health.
Ashlynn chose to practice at Good Samaritan Hospital after completing her clinical rotations there, where she immediately felt a strong sense of support, teamwork, and community. She and her husband ultimately decided to make Vincennes their home, drawn by the relationships and culture she found at Good Samaritan.
Outside of work, Ashlynn enjoys reading, listening to music, swimming, and playing softball. She was recently a member of the Good Samaritan Sluggers team. Most of all, she loves spending time with her husband and two children, especially traveling together and enjoying family vacations—particularly trips to the beach.
