Good Samaritan Will Be Offering A Healthy, Fun-Filled Night For Women

Good Samaritan is excited to present its women’s health fair this June. The Women’s Wellness Expo will take place on June 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Highland Woods Community Center in Vincennes. Free health screenings and health information will be offered, along with shopping opportunities of interest to women.

At last year’s event, 350 free screenings were performed. “Over the last few years we have been incorporating new additions to the expo. This year we are excited to offer a cooking demonstration and presentations from a few of our hospital departments and one of our surgeons, Dr. Lindsey Fleshman," said Tiffany Conover, Director of Marketing at Good Samaritan. "This event gives women an excuse to get a check-up on their health, and have some fun while doing it.”

In addition to the screenings, presentations and shopping vendors, delicious hors d’oerves will be served and prizes will be awarded throughout the night.

There is no appointment necessary to attend the Women’s Wellness Expo. The free health screenings include bone density, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol (LDL and HDL), colorectal take-home kits, glomerular filtration rate (kidney function) and more. Fasting for 10 to 12 hours before these screenings is recommended, but not required. Multiple hospital department booths will also be available offering information about certain health risks women face.

“We look forward to this event every year,” said Rob McLin, Good Samaritan President and CEO. “Offering this health-focused and fun-filled night for the women in our community aligns with our mission. We encourage all women to come out and take advantage of the free screenings and other information offered throughout the night.”

Women of all ages are encouraged to attend this year’s Women’s Wellness Expo on June 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Highland Woods Community Center in Vincennes. To learn more about the event or to see the night’s agenda, visit
