About Sonja

Sonja Johnson came to Good Samaritan from Ohio. She graduated from Shawnee State University and the University of Rio Grande. She completed her medical school training at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. Sonja has a passion for rural medicine and longitudinal health. She has been a member of the selective Rural Urban Scholars Pathway program at Heritage College throughout her medical school career and was chosen to teach Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) in the Primary Care Associate Program and spent a year teaching as an Associate / Teaching Fellow. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, listening to podcasts, science fiction and puppies.
