About Yulie

Yulie recognized that her interests aligned with Internal Medicine specialty because of the
extensive breadth of knowledge needed to care for patients in the hospital setting and the
ability to collaborate with different specialties in pursuit of a common goal. She especially
enjoyed building rapport with patients and family when they found themselves in an emergent
situation in the disconcerting hospital environment. She practiced humility every day, from
rubbing my patient’s back when they vomited to brushing my patient’s hair before a procedure.
Yulie states that she “could rest comfortably knowing that my patients felt genuinely cared
for”. She is interested in pursuing a hospice and palliative medicine fellowship. Yulie is a
member of the oldest cycling club in Miami, Florida.
