About Cheryl
Originally born in Louisiana, Cheryl comes to Good Samaritan from Houston, Texas. She graduated from University of Houston - Main Campus with a degree in Psychology and Sociology. After graduation, Cheryl worked for a time as a research assistant in psychology on several projects before moving on to become a youth advocate. She later worked as a community supervision officer for mental health court in Houston. There, she was promoted to a position where she trained staff on prevention of suicide, mental illness, substance abuse and psychiatric illness. In 2015, Cheryl decided to go to medical school at Ross University. During her early years at Ross, located on the island of Dominica, she used the skills developed early in her career to work with local women’s organizations to provide community services and aid. Cheryl expresses clinical interest in veterans’ populations and forensics. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, racquetball, reading, watching movies, and board games.
