The Student Healthcare Opportunity Program (SHOP) offers high school students the opportunity to volunteer at Good Samaritan while exploring a variety of healthcare careers. This summer program provides hands-on exposure to working in a hospital environment while helping support departmental needs.

Orientation (Attend One Session Only)
June 9 | 10:00–11:00 AM or 12:00–1:00 PM
SHOP is a summer program where students are placed within a department to assist with ongoing tasks and gain insight into day-to-day hospital operations. While students are not able to request specific departments or participate in shadowing, they will gain valuable experience through meaningful volunteer work across Good Samaritan.
Program Requirements
Placement in one department for the full session
Volunteer 1–3 days per week
Each shift is 2–4 hours
This program is designed to give students a realistic look at healthcare careers while making a positive impact within the hospital.
