Dayson Heart Center at Good Samaritan

The holidays are over and the resolutions are just starting. Maybe you’ve begun a diet or exercise program, or perhaps you’ve committed to reducing portions or watching your sugar and salt intake. If so, congratulations – big steps or baby steps, they all move you forward to heart health.

While Good Samaritan will be your biggest cheerleader in your quest for a healthier lifestyle, we’re also standing by if you need us with that first heart concern. Is that shortness of breath something to worry about? Is that pain in your arm because you slept on it wrong, or does it mean something else? As we get older, it’s harder to talk ourselves out of worrying about those new aches and pains.

With talented and compassionate physicians and a full array of diagnostic and interventional cardiac services, the Good Samaritan cardiology team can set your mind at ease or provide you with the best treatment and care available anywhere, right in your own back yard.

Back in the 1960s, those who suffered a heart attack had nearly a one in three chance of surviving. If they suffered a heart attack in Vincennes during that time they had to be taken nearly an hour away to get specialized care. Today, because of a vision by Dr. Louie O. Dayson, residents of Knox and surrounding communities can receive the most advanced heart care right here in Vincennes at Good Samaritan’s Dayson Heart Center. See what free screenings are being offered in our community in our Community Health Screenings Calendar here.

While we won’t promise that a tour of our facilities or free screenings will take the fright out of a heart scare, it will reassure you that we can handle any symptom you might have.

And, out of respect for all those New Year’s resolutions, we will not tempt you with cake.

When it comes to your heart, the Dayson Heart Center has your back.
