Good Samaritan is pleased to announce that Thom Cook has been appointed
Chief Financial Officer effective December 2, 2015.
Cook brings multiple years of financial and accounting experience in the
health care industry to his role at Good Samaritan. He recently served
as CFO for the past five years at St. Vincent’s in Indianapolis.
Cook has also been the CFO at Howard Regional in Kokomo for 11 years and
has a total of 35 years of experience in health care financial management.
“I am joining a great team at Good Samaritan,” said Cook. “I
am looking forward to playing a part in the future growth of the hospital
and am excited to work with a group of individuals who are focused on
the continued success of this organization.”
Cook has a Master’s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree
in Economics and Finance. He taught Finance at Indiana University to undergraduates
and graduates. He is also a Fellow in the American College of health care
Executives (ACHE) and the Health care Financial Management Association
(HFMA) and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Cook and his wife Kathy, who is a health care professional in the behavioral
health setting, have two adult children. In his free time, Thom enjoys
being in the outdoors, bicycling, golfing, fishing and painting.
