Good Samaritan To Acquire New Printers And Copiers For Organization

During Thursday’s Board of Governors Meeting, Good Samaritan approved the contract with Alpha Laser and Imaging of Evansville, Indiana for new printers/copiers, multi-functional device (MFD) service and maintenance for the organization.

Due to the upcoming expiration with the hospital’s current contract with Ricoh, Good Samaritan began the bid process and search for a new vendor. Alpha Laser and Imaging will provide an upgrade of the hospital’s current service, with on-site support, and coverage on the weekends, afterhours and holidays.

The cost of the new equipment will equate to around $431,000, with an additional cost of $38,000 for equipment accessories. Good Samaritan’s current equipment will be traded in for a discount of $18,000. The hospital agreed to a six-year contract with Alpha Laser and Imaging, for the final cost of $852,835.80 for equipment, service and copies. The new contract will provide Good Samaritan an annual savings of approximately $120,000.
