Good Samaritan Welcomes Two New Psychiatrists

Good Samaritan is excited to announce the arrival of two new psychiatrists, Drs. Alexander Radnovich and Ahmed Montaser.

Alexander Radnovich, MD, adult psychiatrist, knew he wanted to be a physician when he was doing community service at his local nursing home where his mother was a nurse. “During my volunteer work, I became interested in becoming a doctor. When I was in college taking some psychology courses, I became fascinated with the brain and how it worked,” said Dr. Radnovich. He graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine with his Doctorate of Medicine in 2006 and his Doctorate of Philosophy in 2008.

The opportunity for growing the psychiatry services within the organization, combined with his wife’s local ties to the area, were what attracted him to practicing at Good Samaritan. “I am excited to spend time with patients, teach residents and expand the field of neuroscience and psychiatry here locally,” he said. In his free time, Dr. Radnovich enjoys spending time with his wife and is an avid gamer, including video and board games.

Dr. Radnovich is accepting new patients at his office at the Samaritan Center on 515 Bayou Street. Those interested in scheduling an appointment can do so by calling 812-886-6800.

Child psychiatrist, Ahmed Montaser, MD, has also joined Good Samaritan. Wanting to find a career where he could help others in need, Dr. Montaser chose to become a physician. “Being a doctor gives me the opportunity to make positive changes in people’s lives,” said he said. He earned his medical degree from Tanta University School of Medicine in Egypt in 2004.

Dr. Montaser’s passion for psychiatry comes from his desire to practice holistic medicine, which is an approach that incorporates biological, psychological and social factors that contribute to illness and well-being. “I have always enjoyed working with children, teenagers and families,” he said. “Being able to identify psychiatry disorders and behavioral problems early in life means you have a better chance of treatment.” Dr. Montaser decided to join Good Samaritan because he was impressed with the welcoming and inviting atmosphere. In his spare time, he enjoys relaxing, reading new books, and spending time with his family.

Patients can schedule an appointment with Dr. Montaser by calling 812-885-2720. His office is located at The Willows on 1901 Willow Street in Vincennes.
