Skin Cancer Screening Event

Skin cancer is the most common cancer, and the most curable when detected early.

Good Samaritan will be hosting a free Skin Cancer Screening Event on Wednesday, May 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Urology Office located in the Bierhaus Center at 328 N. Second Street, Suite 200 in Vincennes, IN.

Good Samaritan providers will check any concerning spots on your body to assess for skin cancer. Appropriate referrals for next steps will be recommended at the end of the exam.

According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, skin cancer is the most common cancer in the world.

  • 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer by the age of 70.
  • More than 2 people die of skin cancer in the U.S. every hour.
  • Having 5 or more sunburns doubles your risk for melanoma.
  • When detected early, the 5-year survival rate for melanoma is 99 percent.
